Today TiVo unveiled new software that lets consumers transfer downloaded TV shows to Apple iPod Video or Sony’s PlayStation Portable, the two most marketed portable video players on the market.

The software, expected to become available in the first quarter, lets subscribers load their portable video devices every morning with content they recorded the night before. Users can also have their season pass selections --favorite programs TiVo automatically records --uploaded automatically overnight. The software works with every TiVo-recorded show.
